LIVE VIDEO MONITORING & RESPONSE
Video systems installed by Versatech can now be integrated with Themis Security’s live video monitoring and response service. Themis’ operations office is manned by security staff from 8:00 pm to 7:00 am, 7 days a week to monitor video incidents occurring at client’s sites. When Themis receives a video alert they can assess the situation and send their patrol staff (and police when necessary) to deal with the issue on your behalf. Here a few examples of the service in action:
A bike lockup in an apartment or condominium that has experienced late night thefts installs a camera linked to Themis’ service. Themis staff are alerted any time motion is detected in the room between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am. Themis staff watch the camera live and if the person is attempting a theft the police are called immediately and a Themis guard is dispatched to meet them.
An alcove in a retail storefront is frequently used as sleeping quarters, or worse. This forces staff arriving in the morning to clear people from the property and clean up the mess they’ve made, putting your employees and your business at risk. Instead of living with this situation a camera is installed and Themis staff are alerted if anyone is loitering in the area between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am. Patrol staff are dispatched to the site to deal with any issues promptly, assuring your property is clear when staff arrive.
A secluded area of a building experiencing repeated graffiti activity or other forms of vandalism. Police are alerted with the goal of catching the vandalism in progress.
A private business experiencing thefts from a parking area where company vehicles and a storage container are kept. Themis staff are alerted if anyone enters the area in the evening and police are called immediately if a theft is in progress.
Live Video Monitoring service is powered by the video analytics embedded in your Axis video surveillance system. Meanwhile an on-site recorder captures all footage for you to review and share with police when needed.
Self-Monitoring
All video surveillance systems installed by Versatech give you the ability to “self-monitor” your cameras. Self-monitoring is achieved by sending push notifications, texts or e-mails to your iOS/Android device. Alerts can be created using camera analytics or a trigger from your intrusion alarm system. These notifications allow you to react to security incidents such intrusion into a private area or loitering, however you should never respond to a potentially dangerous situation on your own, so if you’ll be self-monitoring you should be prepared to call the police using the appropriate phone numbers for the area.
Self-monitoring can work in tandem with professional monitoring and response as you can set times when you want to be alerted and when you want your service provider to respond on your behalf.
