2N ENTRYPHONE AND INTERCOM
Entryphone systems are used in multi-tenant commercial and residential applications to allow visitors to contact tenants in a building to gain access to their suite. When a call is received the tenant can choose to grant entry to the visitor by pressing a button or number on their device.
Versatech specializes in modern, flexible entryphone systems from 2N (a subsidiary of video surveillance giant Axis Communications). 2N uses VOIP/SIP digital communications technology to offer affordable, highly flexible visitor entry/intercom systems that integrate with door access, elevators, parking gates, and video surveillance systems. 2N entry panels can place calls to standard land line phones, cellular phones, VOIP digital phone systems, PCs, and dedicated touchscreen answering stations.
Using SIP to communicate with tenant’s phones creates more flexible call routing options, such as calling multiple parties or devices simultaneously or in sequence. As well as hardwired audio/video answering stations there is an iOS/Android app that can deliver audio and video communication to your smartphone or tablet anywhere in the world.
There are two core models of 2N door station, the “IP Verso” and the “IP Style”. Between them, they can handle any entryphone/intercom project with cutting edge features and unmatched style.
IP Verso
As its name suggests the IP Verso is a highly versatile communications system offering several options for visitor interaction. The base unit housing the main electronics, microphone, speaker (and optional camera), can be paired with a touchscreen that displays a list of tenant names, a keypad that is used to “dial” suite numbers or individual suite buttons (anywhere from 5 to 145 buttons can be provided). Some sample configurations are shown in the images to the right. The actual size of the IP Verso base unit with one module is 9.2 x 4.2 inches.
No matter which module is used you’ll get the same flexible communication options, excellent audio quality, sophisticated style, and optional high-definition camera.
IP Style
The IP Style is the pinnacle of entry system design, in features, technology, and looks. It is also one of the most vandal resistant touchscreens entryphone systems ever made. It has the same flexible communication options as the IP Verso but with enhanced audio quality, a much larger touchscreen, a built-in high-definition camera, and a card reader capable of reading standard proximity cards, high security encrypted cards, and mobile phone credentials.
The IP Style is 14 x 6.7 x 1.6 inches, compact enough to suit any environment but large enough to house a stunning 10 inch screen with ample room for welcome screens, user directories and company logos. Unlike many other touchscreen entry systems on the market, it is fully rated for outdoor use and will continue to work when the screen is wet. It can even be operated when the user is wearing gloves. One touch of the display and the screen guides the visitor through the process of making a calling. The system features an intelligent quick search function that makes finding a tenant easy, especially in buildings with 50 or more suites.
